i'm thankful

this weekend is a weekend dedicated for many believers to follow Jesus' commandment in water baptism. In this service, i saw 11 candidates going up the pulpit sharing their life testimonies giving all glory to God.
Indeed every baptism service is a special service which can serve as a reminder of who God really is in our midst.
One testimony which really touches my heart is how God has changed the heart of a man who was proud and self sufficient to someone who embrace the meaning of humility. Indeed only God can change the inner spirit and heart of a person. Facing loss of job from a high level position in a big company does not deter him in trusting God for his provision and direction. He chose to be faithful and follow God in water baptism. I believed that action shows the sovereigneity of God in his life in the midst of trial and challenges that seems so big for him to solve by himself.

Another testimony that spokes to me is about how God changed a man from one whose life is always filled with anger to someone who knows the meaning of patience. In fact, God has also helped him to overcome his addiction to smoking and gambling. Praise God for what He has done for each of them. Indeed, his word and truth will penetrate into the bones and pierce like a double-edged sword into the hearts of a person.
